Meth Lab Cleaning

Meth labs are popping up all over the country with this growing drug epidemic.  As an environmental hazard, the by products of meth labs contaminate their surroundings with harmful fumes and highly explosive chemical compounds.  The clandestine manufacture of methamphetamine is known to result in various levels of contamination of all surfaces in homes.

Exposures to active clandestine methamphetamine labs have the greatest risk of adverse health effects from environmental exposures.

Symptoms associated with acute exposure to former clandestine labs

  • Headache

  • Nausea/vomiting

  • Respiratory tract irritation

  • Skin irritation

  • Eye irritation

  • Difficulty breathing

CERTAIN bills & laws have been passed in CERTAIN states.  These laws require the home owner/seller to disclose that the house was a clandestine lab in the past to the buyer before they decide to buy.

Texas HOWEVER is not one of those states unfortunately.  BUT the Environmental Protection Agency(EPA) has made a listing of regulations, disclosure laws and contaminated property listings (if available in your state).

PLEASE NOTE: the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has developed a clandestine drug lab decontamination guideline; this guideline (not a law) is inconsistent with the best standards and practices established in regulated states.

EVEN THOUGH THERE ARE NO RULES, LAWS OR REGULATIONS IN TEXAS AS TO METH LAB CLEANUP

Alamo Biohazard Solutions goes the extra step as to following these strict promulgated protocol, guidelines & processes, in coordination with states that require strict rules of Meth lab and crime scene cleanup.
